Winter: Between snow and school vacation, you better have some fun things in the works to keep the kids busy. Being outside helps them burn energy that they may spend on less productive activities. Building a snow fort can be a exciting way for them to be creative and have fun! If you want a block fort and don’t have block making kit you can use and square shaped container that will allow you to pack snow into it. Start by making a row of snow blocks as your base and just keep adding to the “wall”. If you don’t feel like building a block fort than find a large snow bank (away from the roads) and start hallowing out the center. You can make a tunnel system with “rooms” for the kids to climb into. Use your imagination and start planning with your kids their own snow house. Playing in the snow is not just for kids!
