They have also developed the “Moose Map” which directs visitors to the best places to spot a moose, get some great photos of Katahdin and some of the prettiest beaches and waterfalls along the way.The campsite is family friendly and has a swimming pool, volleyball and horseshoe area, free hot showers and “fish stories” at the main office. While you are there you can drive over to Baxter and spend the day hiking then come back and take a nice hot shower and enjoy the campfire.
